Jacki Belile\">In the Christian rhythm of the ages, we have steadily hosted worship weekly on Sunday mornings every week since March 22nd.\u00a0 Worship attendance has been steady, arguably &#8220;up&#8221; in comparative summer terms. We never closed. We continued fellowshipping and learning on Tuesdays, and praying on Wednesdays (online and then later in the sanctuary).<br><br>Some have been unable to join us &#8220;live&#8221; on Sundays but have benefited from recordings we had not previously done.\u00a0 We were (and will continue to be) <strong>open<\/strong> in this new way. Some have joined us via Zoom as a newfound blessing, having been too far away or physically able to attend in recent years.\u00a0 We were (and will continue to be) <strong>open<\/strong> in this way.\u00a0 Some have taken a break altogether, but journey on in heart and goodwill, just glad for a break or sad we were not at 5051 and desiring not to do &#8220;the internet thing.&#8221; As you discern what you need <em>next<\/em>, know that our hearts and prayers are with you. <strong><em>We will be OPEN at 5051, and also via Zoom, and in any other way you need in order to partake in the worshiping community.<\/em><\/strong><br><br>So, we&#8217;re going to &#8220;return&#8221; to sanctuary open for corporate worship on Sunday, September 13th for &#8220;Rally Day,&#8221; a\u00a0 tradition of dedicating our inter-generational ministries and building to God&#8217;s use for the year.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve long known it would be important to give you a sense of what to expect from liturgy and one another.\u00a0<em>\u00a0 <\/em>To get a glimpse of this please check out the videos and document placed on\u00a0 <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Eden-United-Church-of-Christ-157376167657887\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook <\/a>and\u00a0 our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.edenuccchicago.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.  <em>(Note one correction to videos: Joys and Concerns will not be spoken, but collected via Zoom and written cards.)<\/em><br><br>To reach out with any questions or concerns about our procedures, drop-in to the regular Eden worship Zoom line on Friday or Saturday\u00a0evening between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.<br><br>Lastly, please do consider our &#8220;Labors of Love&#8221;\u00a0 activity\u00a0\u00a0on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. for sanctuary and other building prep. (Started in 2015, &#8220;Labors of Love&#8221; is what we call our occasional work day at the church.
